New Year’s Resolutions for a Happy New Year

So as I was saying in yesterday’s post, let’s start the year with positive vibes. I’m a firm believer in positive thinking leading to positive things, and that may help explain why we fail our New Year’s resolutions when we’ve completely cut out something we crave so much.

Same old thinking, same old results…which will lead to same old thinking… you know the rest.

Instead of denying yourself something for your New Year’s resolutions, why not add somethings into your life? I don’t mean anything like a chore or a burden (although I think you should call your grandma more often), I’m talking about positive thinking and wellbeing. This may then lead to an increased sense of motivation, self-worth and self-control, you might be able to take further steps to improving your wellbeing and tackling the bigger stuff (like taking Papa John’s off speed dial, quitting smoking, hiring a personal trainer…)

Here’s a list of New Year’s Resolutions you can take to help with some positive thinking:

  1. Go outside more
  2. Human contact everyday
  3. Exercise just a little bit
  4. Go to bed at a ‘proper’ time
  5. Get up at a ‘proper’ time
  6. Stop putting yourself under so much PRESSURE!
  7. Pick your battles

*I really want to tell you all that I don’t smoke and have never started but obviously its a big topic around New Year’s Resolutions. Don’t want you to think I’m a smoker when I’m quite proud that I’m not! I have my other vices… damn Papa John’s!
